The estate was established by the Antinori family’s desire to produce the highest quality organic wines and explore Chile’s vast winemaking potential while focusing on expressing the Maipo Valley’s extraordinary terroir.
The name “Haras de Pirque” is a tribute to the country’s oldest thoroughbred racehorse breeding farm, founded in 1892, located just a short distance from the cellar. The thoroughbred racetrack still surrounds the estate’s vineyards, and the state-of-the-art winery was designed in the shape of a horseshoe.
